This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2009:
Oh sure, I strongly believe that there is something positive about suffering, because first- it teaches you how to value those things that you tend to ignore, second- it gives you more strenght which helps you face future suffering with more positivism and maturity, and third- it shows you what it means to feel happy!
I think suffering is important because without having experienced suffering we cannot distinguish the difference between sadness and happiness, love and hate/resentment... suffering allows us to respect, value and cherish those moments that bring happiness and light to our lives...
I have learned that in order to be successful you have to work hard and that you have to be dedicated, passionate and in love with whatever you're doing... I have also learned that I have to think twice before I act/speak, and that I don't have to regret my past because everything that happens, especially suffering, happens for a reason.... a GOOD reason... =)
